A little about Jenny
Jenny has been a professional rider and trainer for over thirty years, working at several dressage stables, training horses for elite riders. She also trained jumping horses, driving horses and Arabians and has extensive experience with all breeds.
She has been training over twenty years with three time Olympians, Tineke Bartels and her daughter, Imke Schellekens-Bartels. She was previously selected by them to be the head instructor for the training-weeks for Friesians at their Academy Bartels, Home of the Global Dressage Forum.
In the past, Jenny trained with her Friesian Grand Prix stallion, Wolter V with Alex van Silfhout, bondscoach of the Dutch National Team and with her young horses with Johan Rockx, bondscoach for Holland at the Rio Olympics, as well as with Academy Bartels.
She also trained with Classical Master Arthur Kottas, former Head/Oberbereiter of the Spanish Riding School and Spanish Olympic rider, Rafael Soto.
To further assist her students, she has completed courses to become an instructor in Action Type Training, Deep Motivational Drivers and Rider Preference as well as courses in sports psychology and equine physiology.
Many of her students have trained their own horses to the highest levels in dressage under her guidance, winning countless championships.
Her positive attitude and friendly approach brings out the best in riders and their horses! We are very excited to have her join us in Maui March 16-18, 2024.
